Trappers will not be open for Winter services in 2006. Watch our website for any news on remaining open during upcoming Winter seasons. In the meantime, the road up to Trappers Lake remains available to snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing.
Remember, there are no phone or emergency services in the area during the winter. Please play safely.
You are in big-time snow country. We average over 350 inches annually of our famous "champagne" powder. Trappers Lake is a winter wonderland.
Back cross country skiers and snowshoers will enjoy the terrain and heavenly peacefulness of winter in the Flat Tops Wilderness Area, where snowmobiles are NOT allowed. Outside the borders of the Flat Tops Wilderness Area, snowmobilers can zoom over hundreds of square miles of varied terrain with snow conditions suitable for beginners as well as the advanced rider.
